1. Being sunsafe – vocabulary
This page contains words to learn relating to the topic of being safe in the sun. The words are to be used in conjunction with the reading material “Being Sunsafe”.
2. Being sunsafe – book
This activity is designed to provide symbolized accessible reading materials on the topic of being safe in the sun. The reading material covers facts about sunburn, and how to follow a sun safe routine. The activity can be used as an onscreen reading activity, using the text to speech and block highlighting features available in Communicate: In Print 2. The pages can also be printed out.
Details of settings:
This activity was developed as part of a literacy course for young adults in a post school service who have high and complex needs.
The topic of the unit was simple first aid – sunburn.
Please note: To open and view this Communicate: In Print file, you need to first download and save the file to a location on your hard drive. Then run Communicate: In Print. From the Communicate: In Print menu, click File-Open and locate the downloaded file and click on it to open it.
