Facts about litter
This activity is designed to provide symbolized accessible reading materials on the topic of litter in our environment. The reading material was developed to support and expand on the theme “Signs in the community”. The activity can be used as an onscreen reading activity, using the text to speech and block highlighting features available in Communicate: In Print 2. The pages can also be printed out for away from the computer reading activities.
Details of setting:
This activity was developed as part of a literacy course for young adults in a post school service who have high and complex needs.
The topic of the unit was “Signs in the community”.
Please note: To open and view this Communicate: In Print file, you need to first download and save the file to a location on your hard drive. Then run Communicate: In Print. From the Communicate: In Print menu, click File-Open and locate the downloaded file and click on it to open it.
