IntelliTools compatibility with Mac OSX
Overview
IntelliTools is looking into developing Mac OS X compatible versions of its software products. IntelliTools will be announcing Mac OS X compatible release plans in late 2001 and Spectronics will pass the information onto our customers through our online emailed updates (Click here if you haven’t already subscribed)
Apple’s Mac OS X Release Strategy
As of May 2001, Apple will be shipping OS X pre-installed on all new Macs. Recognising that many developers have not released OS X compatible software and hardware, Apple is also pre-installing OS 9.1 on all new Macs. New Macs will default to startup in OS 9.1. The user can choose to startup in OS X, and then easily switch back to startup in OS 9.1 Changing startup operating systems on new Macs is user friendly.
- If you are running in OS 9.1 and want to re-start running in OS X:
From under the rainbow coloured Apple, select Control Panels. Then select Startup Disk. Highlight OS X. Close the Startup Disk window. Re-start the computer.
- If you are running in OS X, and want to re-start running in OS 9.1:
From under the blue Apple, select System Preferences. Then select Startup Disk. Highlight OS 9.1. Close the Startup Disk window. Re-start the computer.

- Install only the current shipping versions of IntelliTools software
- Restart in OS 9.1
- Open the program
