ABOUT US:
Amanda Hartmann and Terri-Lee Hurd are Speech-Language Pathologists who have been involved in special education for a combined 15 years. They have worked in preschool, primary, secondary and special school settings with a wide range of communication ability levels. In addition, consulting with schools and conducting collegiate and teacher training has also been a focus.
The partnership ‘Therapy Friends’ was initiated through the constant request for; FUN, ACTIVITY BASED, READY MADE, THEMED MATERIALS for communication programs in classrooms and clinics.
Amanda and Terri-Lee have a strong practical background in the use and application of symbol based technology programs eg. Boardmaker , Writing with Symbols and communication devices, in addition to their experiences in communication programming for students individually and in classroom settings.
