Find Out and Write About
Find Out and Write About CDs "support and strengthen the link between reading and writing, and are differentiated to support a variety of levels."
The unique Find Out and Write About series for Clicker provides a range of multimedia CDs ideal for literacy teaching and perfect for English language learners too! Early readers of all ages can research the non-fiction material and then use the associated writing grids to write about what they have learnt.
Support students through curriculum focussed reading and writing activities
Each title contains an interactive talking book of carefully researched, non-fiction text. Children click the speaker button to listen to the whole text, or click on an individual word to hear it. Each page of the book contains a link to a Clicker writing grid that relates directly to that page, so children can write about the information they have just learned. Words are colour-coded to help writers compose sentences successfully.
Motivate all learners with differentiated materials
Each engaging title presents information at three levels, making the series suitable for emergent, struggling and fluent readers. At level 1, information is presented in short sentences and children use Clicker Grids to work with sentence beginnings and endings. At level 2, students construct their own sentences and have a wider vocabulary choice, whilst at level 3 they are presented with more in-depth information and grids that enable them to interpret and respond to the non-fiction text.
Enhance students’ learning outcomes
As they work their way through the information pages and writing tasks, students produce a significant piece of writing that demonstrates both their understanding of the reading material and their ability to work independently. This is highly motivating for all learners, particularly struggling readers and writers. Find Out and Write About is also ideal for enhancing the learning opportunities of your students with special needs. As with all Powered by Clicker resources, the series is completely switch accessible.

“I just thought I would let you know how much your product is appreciated! We have just purchased the Castles CD ROM in the Find Out and Write About series – it is brilliant – to find such an excellent resource for Key Stage 1 is unusual – the differentiated levels are much appreciated. Value for money is exceptional and puts your competitors to shame. Thank you to all who have helped to produce this excellent resource – we look forward to many more titles in the series!” Stephanie Storrar, ICT Manager, Banstead Infant School, Surrey, UK
