Motivating K-2 Math Activities for Students with Severe Disabilities
by Pati King-DeBaun, Daniel Herlihy and Connective Technology Solutions Inc
A very creative perspective for how to use IntelliTools Classroom Suite to address the hard to understand areas of maths
YIKES, maths! How do we teach the basic concepts of maths so children will actually learn what the concept of maths is and use those skills for a lifetime? Dan and Pati tackled this uncharted territory providing you with templates to create your own tools.
Simply providing children with rote activities to learn skills is not enough especially when facing the challenge of disabilities. This CD-ROM will look at creative ways to allow children to engage in “doing” mathematics using IntelliTools Classroom Suite. The content standards for early maths (K-2) have been addressed from a universal design perspective. This CD-ROM will highlight how to make maths fun by building engaging activities and addresses the needs of children who cannot manipulate materials and those children who need manipulatives to understand.
Ready to import and use with IntelliTools Classroom Suite.
