Number for All Kids Books 1 and 2 provide:

- Extended practice counting small sets and matching numerals to sets
- Links to outcomes based mathematics curriculum
- Goals for Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
- A recording sheet to monitor student achievement in mathematics and for use in student portfolios.
The worksheets use a simple repetitive format, which once learned, will provide seatwork that can be started and completed independently by the student, while the teacher works with another student or group. When the student has learned the format, the worksheets can be used as work tasks in a TEACCH program for students with autism.
There are no written instructions, making the worksheets suitable for non-readers and students from a non-English speaking background (NESB). The pictures are line drawings of familiar objects, animals and shapes appropriate for all ages.
The worksheets can be used with a large range of students:

- Primary students with poor counting skills who are at educational risk

Number for All Kids Book 1 teaches counting from 1 to 5.
Book 2 reviews counting sets with 1 to 5 objects as well as covering sets with 6 to 10 objects.
