A Savant USB Foot Switch is factory programmed to perform mouse clicks. The compact design features a wide centre pedal and two smaller outer pedals.
- The large centre pedal has minimal travel for your most heavily used key action and is factory programmed to perform the regular “left button” mouse click.
- The outer “piano-key” pedals offer two additional actions (right-click and scrolling) without having to search for a second and third foot switch on the floor!
- Adjustment screws allow fine-tuning of pedal travel.

- Activate Mouse Clicks
The Savant USB foot switch comes pre-programmed to activate right and left mouse clicks. For many users the pain associated with using the mouse is from the action of clicking, not from moving the mouse. The Savant foot switch resolves this problem by relocating the clicking action to the user’s feet. - Program Any Key Action
Reprogram the foot switch to activate any key action(s) (Reprogramming software available for Windows only). Perfect for offloading work from an overused finger or hand. Some of the more commonly used key actions are Shift, Tab, Enter, Backspace and Delete.Note: IMPORTANT! To avoid damaging your foot switch, you must read the User’s Manual before installing the programming software/driver. It is especially important to install “play mode” first (which is automatic in Windows 2000/XP), then disconnect the foot switch before installing the programming software.
- Create Macros
Macros are a great productivity tool for generating commonly used phrases, or combinations of key actions and modifiers. With a memory pool of 1200 characters per device the Savant foot switch will support even the most demanding of tasks.

Triple Action Foot Switch Compatibility
- Windows
- Available USB port, plug-and-play compatible with most systems having USB ports. Uses generic drivers provided by the operating system (Windows 98, 98SE, ME, 2000, XP, Vista and 7)
- Windows 98, 98SE, ME, 2000, XP, Vista and 7
- Re-programming driver download available above for Windows 98, 98SE, ME, 2000, XP, Vista, 7
- Only Windows 2000, XP, Vista and 7 offer full functionality of mouse clicks.
- Macintosh
- Available USB port. Uses generic drivers provided by the operating system (OS 8.6 – 10.X)
- Only OS X offers full functionality of left and right mouse clicks. Middle mouse button not supported on Macintosh without using a third party driver such as that found at www.usboverdrive.com.
Note: Modifier actions from one USB device cannot modify the input of a second USB device due to limitations designed into the Apple operating system.Example: Shift, Control, Command, or Option keystrokes programmed into the footswitch cannot modify the input of a separate USB keyboard or mouse. However, a key sequence like ‘Cmd-W’ or ‘Cmd-Shift-left arrow’ will work on a Macintosh if the entire sequence of keystrokes has been pre-programmed into the footswitch. (Footswitch can only be programmed on a Windows PC).

- Linux, Sun and other Non Windows Platforms
- Available USB port. Uses generic drivers provided by the operating system. Due to the heterogeneity in these platforms, no compatibility guarantee with these systems is offered. However, if your system can use any USB mouse and keyboard, it will probably work with the foot switch.
- Re-programming drivers are not available for these systems. The user is advised to re-program the foot switch on a Windows-based PC system.
- Mouse click actions may not be supported on all these systems.
- Available USB port. Uses generic drivers provided by the operating system. Due to the heterogeneity in these platforms, no compatibility guarantee with these systems is offered. However, if your system can use any USB mouse and keyboard, it will probably work with the foot switch.
