This revolutionary new device provides instant audio feedback for struggling and developing writers to help improve writing, expression, fluency, and grammar. It also puts portable communication capability right at the fingertips of the speech-challenged.

Text2Speech is especially effective for struggling writers when used with Co:Writer for NEO. Words are highlighted on the NEO screen as they are read. Text2Speech also works with NEO’s Spell-checker and Thesaurus features, giving students even more flexibility and confidence in their writing and self-expression.
Text2Speech connects to the NEO wirelessly, using NEO’s built-in infrared capability and integrated SmartApplet software (already installed on currently shipping NEOs; for existing NEOs, users may need to install a system upgrade v3.x with AlphaSmart Manager 2 v3.3 – available as a free download).

The software can be customised easily:
- to designate a male or female voice
- have text automatically read back by letter, word, sentence, or paragraph
- listen to text at any speed or volume desired
